With a more transparent color and a reddish-orange hue, the 2021 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Soccorso is concentrated and spicy on the nose, with notes of red currant, bergamot, dusty earth, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and vertical, with pronounced acidity, fine, enveloping tannins, and a stony texture that solidifies on the finish. It is very enveloping right now and will need another 6–12 months to begin showing its best, but the structure is impressive. Drink 2026–2037.
