Sporting an orange-tinged red color, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino Poggio Cerrino was aged for 44 months in large Slavonian oak casks and comes from 35- year-old vines on rocky soils with more limestone to the north within the appellation. It boasts a savory profile in its notes of licorice oregano, dried cherries, spice, and woodsy earth. Medium-bodied, it is salty and energetic on the palate, with a balanced, angular feel, a mineral-driven texture, and a persistent finish. Drink 2026-2040.
